Regency Hospital of North Dallas Opens Doors

Dallas, Texas (April 24, 2006) - Regency Hospital Company today announced the opening of Regency Hospital of North Dallas. Regency Hospital of North Dallas is the second hospital opened in Texas, joining Regency Hospital of Odessa which opened its doors in 2003. Regency Hospital is a 44-bed hospital which is located in Carrollton. Regency Hospital is a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital treating medically complex patients who have suffered recent catastrophic illness or injury and require an extended length of stay, typically longer than 14 days, in an acute care environment. Regency Hospital of North Dallas began taking patients on Thursday, April 20, 2006.

Regency Hospital Company has appointed Mr. Steve Laughlin, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. "Steve Laughlin was the only choice as CEO for our Dallas and Fort Worth hospitals (Ft. Worth is schedule to open later this summer). As a long time resident of Texas and member of the healthcare community, Steve Laughlin has a personal interest in making a difference in the lives of the people of this community. Mr. Laughlin’s vast healthcare experience and knowledge of the marketplace, certainly makes him the ideal candidate for this market," commented Mike Brohm, Chief Operating Officer at Regency Hospital Company. "Steve Laughlin is highly experienced in Business Development and Healthcare Administration. His successful track record within the industry will guide the hospital in creating an outstanding clinical LTAC program," he continued.
