William L. Anderson Elected CEO of Regency Hospital Company

Regency Hospital Company is pleased to announce the election of William L. Anderson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 5. "We are extremely fortunate to attract someone of Bill's experience and capabilities to lead this company," stated Gary A. Mecklenburg, Chairman of the Board. "Bill has more than thirty years of hospital and multi-hospital system experience and shares our commitment to the highest quality of care and service."

Since 2001, Mr. Anderson served as Division President of Triad Hospitals, Inc. where he managed a group of acute care hospitals and rehabilitation facilities with total net revenues exceeding $1 billion. He previously held senior management positions with Quorum Health Services, Healthtrust, Hospital Corporation of America, and American Medical International. Within these organizations he has been CEO of Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Medical Center of Baton Rouge, and of Women and Children's Hospital of Lafayette, LA. "I am excited to be joining Regency," said Anderson. "The company has an impressive record of growth and success, and the long-term acute care hospital field is playing an increasingly important role in the health care system. I am committed to enhancing Regency's leadership position in this field."

Mr. Anderson succeeds Rod Laughlin, who founded Regency in 2001 with support from Waud Capital Partners. Mr. Laughlin will continue in a leadership role with the company as Vice Chairman of the Board. Mr. Anderson is a recognized leader in the field. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served as a member of the board of governors of the Federation of American Hospitals. He received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Business Administration from Temple University.
